About Orange
Orange is a vibrant regional city in the Central Tablelands of NSW, around 260km west of Sydney. Known as one of Australia's premier cool-climate food and wine regions, it offers world-class wineries, heritage streetscapes, and a thriving arts scene. The city centre is walkable with mostly flat footpaths and many accessible venues. Most attractions are within 15 minutes of the CBD.
Getting There
Orange is 3.5 hours from Sydney via the Great Western Highway and Mitchell Highway. NSW TrainLink operates daily rail services from Sydney Central. The station is accessible with ramp access. Local taxis are available.
Accessibility Tips
Autumn (March-May) is wine festival season. The heritage precinct around Byng Street has the most accessible footpaths. Many wineries offer table service — call ahead to arrange.
