Millthorpe is a beautifully preserved heritage village just 20 minutes south of Orange. The entire main street is heritage-listed with boutique shops, antique stores, cafes, and galleries housed in original 1880s buildings. It is one of the most intact Victorian-era villages in NSW. The main street is flat and walkable with most shops at street level.
Getting There
Millthorpe is 20 minutes south of Orange on the Mitchell Highway. There is a train station on the NSW TrainLink line from Sydney, though services are limited. Most visitors drive from Orange or Bathurst.
Accessibility Tips
The main street is flat and most shops have level entry or small lips. The Millthorpe Markets run on the second Saturday of each month. Tonic Millthorpe is a popular cafe with level access. Best visited midweek for a quieter experience.
