A trusted source of real accessibility information
Mudgee is a charming wine region in the Central West of NSW, around 270km northwest of Sydney. With over 40 cellar doors, excellent local produce, and a friendly village atmosphere, it's a favourite weekend destination. Many wineries have invested in accessibility improvements, and the town centre has wide, flat footpaths.
Mudgee is 3.5 hours from Sydney via the Blue Mountains and Lithgow. There is no rail service — driving is the main option. Some tour operators offer accessible transport from Sydney.
The Visitor Information Centre on Market Street can advise which wineries have the best wheelchair access. Weekdays are quieter at cellar doors. Several wineries offer table service.
